Contract: USD 6 Months (+15/-30 days)
Job Purpose:
To ensure the efficiency and maintenance of all machinery inside and outside Engine Room spaces. To safely and professionally execute all duties related to the operation of the engine department.
Position Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience at sea as 3rd Engineer (Container, Ro-Ro, Bulk carrier type vessels of mid and large size)
• MC, ME or RTA Main Engines experience (abt 11800 - 66650 kW Power)
• Satisfy the requirements of STCW 95 regarding the certification for this position
• Certificate of Competency Reg. III/1
• Certificate High Voltage
• Certificate Leadership and Teamwork
• Certificate Security Awareness & Security Duties or SSO
• USA visa C1/D
• Booster dose of COVID vaccine in addition to all doses of accepted vaccine
• Flag state docs costs
• Courses cost
• Ability to read, speak and write fluently in English
• Above average skills in tactful, diplomatic crisis and problem handling
• Substantial interpersonal, oral, written communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment, exercising authority, diplomacy, and impartiality in orders, regardless of race, origin, gender, religion or gender orientation
