Smart Team is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Dubai office. This role is ideal for individuals with experience or a strong interest in working in trading/investment companies.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day company transactions, including but not limited to: invoices, expenditures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and payroll.
• Perform general ledger accounting.
• Manage VAT assessments and filing, as well as reporting for corporate tax.
• Oversee cash and petty cash management.
• Analyze account and system-related reports to ensure accurate assessments.
• Maintain accurate month-end records by examining financial statements.
• Facilitate a smooth yearly audit process by providing accurate transactions and balances.
• Coordinate with management to uphold standard laws and regulations for fiscal activities.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the UAE.
• Proficient in MS Excel with strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
• Certifications in any of the following qualifications: ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, MBA finance (partially qualified candidates may also apply).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Ukrainian language is required.
