Overview

Our US based IT support company Expert Computer Solutions https://www.ecsoffice.com seeks a technically savvy and meticulous Senior IT Engineer. This role involves technical leadership for the team of 2-3 people as well as driving and executing various IT projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a diverse set of skills, including but not limited to Office 365 migration, SharePoint migration, network equipment setup, firewall and VPN configuration, server software installation, InTune deployment, network audit, AD migration, and cloud migration to Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team and clients; foster team technical expertise;
• Effectively communicate complex technical decisions to clients in a clear and understandable manner;
• Establish processes for achieving technical excellence and ensure the adherence to high-quality standards in all project deliverables;
• Lead architecture and design creation for projects as well as drive further execution of technical tasks breakdown and estimation.
• Execute all stages of IT projects including but not limited to Office 365 Migration, SharePoint Migration, and Cloud Migration to Azure.
• Lead Office 365 tenant to tenant migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations and ensuring all data is accurately and securely transferred.
• Design and implement new network systems, including setting up network equipment during office moves, firewall and VPN configuration, and conducting comprehensive network audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Execute server hardware and software installations, maintain detailed documentation of the installations, and ensure their compatibility with the existing IT infrastructure.
• Oversee InTune deployment across client organizations, ensuring all devices are properly configured and compliant with company policies.
• Conduct AD migrations, ensuring all user accounts and permissions are accurately replicated in the new system.
• Collaborate with team members (other engineers) to make sure the project goals are met.
• Provide regular status updates to Project Manager on work progress, blockers, setbacks, and outcomes. Participate in estimation, planning, lessons learned sessions as requested.
• Participate in status meetings with client, be ready to explain technical staff with the needed level of details.
• Ability to work in US hours (working day starts at 8-9 am CST).

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in similar projects.
• Spoken/written English level: Advanced is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Senior IT Engineer or similar role within an IT environment.
• Familiarity with Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure platforms.
• Proficiency in server management and network configuration.
• Experience with InTune and AD migrations.
• Strong time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise and find effective solutions.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Cisco or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Work Conditions:

The Senior IT Engineer may need to work overtime to meet project deadlines and may need to be on-call to handle any emergencies that arise.

Job Type: Full-time, Remote (office setups or on-site installations will be handled by US based engineers).
