The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring quality at every stage of the production cycle, from incoming material inspection to final acceptance and preparation of final inspection and handover documentation.

The inspector accepts products only in accordance with engineering drawings, the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), and EN 1090 requirements. In the event of a critical defect, the inspector is required to stop production or block shipment.

Position Objective

To prevent losses caused by poor-quality production by identifying defects at an early stage, eliminating their root causes, and ensuring that products comply with EN 1090 and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of steel products, materials, and customer-supplied materials, including certificate verification, visual inspections, measurements, and preparation of incoming inspection reports.
• Monitor production at critical inspection points in accordance with the ITP.
• Inspect and accept finished products for compliance with engineering drawings, the ITP, EN 1090, and contractual requirements.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), identify root causes using the 5 Whys method, initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and verify their implementation.
• Stop production or block shipment in the event of a critical defect.
• Maintain the measuring equipment calibration register and quality control documentation in the Vogbit ERP system.
• Analyze NCRs quarterly using Pareto charts and identifying the top five systemic causes; calculate the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) in euros monthly and propose improvements to management.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Control (QC) Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to confidently read engineering drawings and assembly diagrams.
• Knowledge of EN 1090 (execution classes EXC1–EXC4) and ISO 9001, with an understanding of ITPs.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including visual inspection and dimensional measurements, as well as ultrasonic testing (UT) and a basic understanding of radiographic testing (RT).
• A valid International Welding Engineer (IWE) certificate is preferred.
• Confident language skills: English — С1; Russian — C2.

What We Offer

• Monthly fixed salary, plus an additional payment for welding production audits for candidates holding a valid IWE certificate, quarterly KPI-based bonuses, and an annual bonus.
• The final offer is negotiable and will be discussed individually based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
• Official employment in Estonia.
• Working schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00.
• Paid annual leave: 28 calendar days.
