For our client, a 5-star hotel chain in Croatia, we are looking for a FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
Location: Split, Croatia
Reports to: General Manager
Responsible for:
- Assistant F&B Manager
- Restaurant Manager / F&B Operations Manager
- Bar Manager / Bar Supervisor
- Supervisor
- Room Service Attendant
- Conference & Banqueting Manager
- Waiters / Students
The primary objective of the position:
Direct and manage all F&B activities to maximize revenue, profitability, and quality goals by developing and executing marketing strategies, up-selling strategies, controlling costs, and providing quality service and products to guests
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage F&B department to achieve objectives
- Strategize improvements in guest service, food production, and efficiency
- Analyze F&B financial reports, ensuring corrective actions and follow-up
- Attain goals for «GRI» and «customer satisfaction score»
- Coordinate pricing and preparation of menus, beverages, and wine lists
- Approve wine purchasing and F&B items under corporate quality standards
- Develop the hotel's annual budget, strategies, focusing on sales increase in F&B
- Stay abreast of F&B industry trends for competitive operations
- Development of recognition programs for staff, advertising, promotional programs, and campaigns to increase market awareness
- Oversees and ensures that F&B departments comply with all applicable laws
- Screen, interview, and select potential Managers, Supervisors & line staff
- Identifies employees with potential for promotion / transfer and draws up appropriate development plans for them in conjunction with the HR manager
- Checks that staff meets and exceeds guest expectations by training and encouraging staff to provide «Yes I Can» service
- Ensures that emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees, following hotel regulations and legal requirements
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Professional experience and skills:
- 3+ years of experience as an F&В Manager
- International experience. Experience in the Mediterranean would be an advantage
- English language proficiency - fluent, knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
