To ensure that the dealers, for whom the Area Manager is responsible, realizes their objectives and targets, in terms of:

Main tasks

• Assist the dealer in making his business plan including concrete actions, required resources and timing, and commit to the execution of it.
• Monitor and support the execution of the Business plan, identifying deviations and initiating (pro-active/corrective) actions.
• Taking co-responsibility for the truck market performance in the area of first responsibility of the dealers and sales of services (packaging of MultiSupport, leasing, financing), by:
o advising, challenging and supporting the dealer principals and dealer salesmen in their business activities
o coaching the sales force of the dealers and accompany the salesmen upon request or at own initiative at customer visits
o Approving within mandates or advising about the requested special discounts
o Managing the bonus scheme(s); create continuous awareness for the realization of the targets
• Taking co-responsibility for the qualitative improvements and customer satisfaction.
o Managing the standards of excellence scheme
• Develop and/or strengthen the relationship between the sales subsidiary and its dealers.
• Proactively identify and support improvements of the business processes between DAF and dealer.

• Support internal stakeholders in all other dealer related projects and initiatives;
• Be key point of contact for dealers in all their interactions , and for internal stakeholders in all their interactions with the assigned dealers;
• Monitor sales and marketing activities of the competition in the assigned area;
• Represent distributor in all interactions with the end customers to support Dealers and address customer queries should they arise.
