Scheduling HVAC work. Preparing for work and providing workers on site, including materials, tools and equipment on a prospective basis. Establishing and securing necessary permits to ensure quality and safe operation. Assignment and supervision of workers, including reporting on task completion. Report to the engineer on the work done.
Fully trained in HVAC project reading. Experience testing, measuring airflow and balancing flows in mechanical, industrial HVAC systems. Leak test and maintaining the required internal positive pressure. HVAC system performance test. Confirmation of the correct operation of fire dampers and vents with testing of BAS systems.
Inspects, tests, starts, commissions and troubleshoots AHUs, split air conditioners, VAVs, fans, air handlers, heaters, humidifiers, filters, louvres, pumps, blowers and other HVAC equipment including all types of ductwork.
Install, calibrate and operate test equipment and record test data. Complete commissioning activities in accordance with project procedures.
