About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Safety to lead our Safety Department and ensure compliance across all aspects of driver, vehicle, and company operations. This is a full-time, in- office role that involves hands-on oversight of safety protocols, FMCSA/DOT compliance, communication with drivers and authorities, and internal inspections.
You will be managing the safety team, improving reporting systems, training processes, and ensuring we maintain high safety standards across a fleet of over 130 trucks (company-owned and owner- operators).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Safety Department and its assistants
• Monitor and improve compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Oversee ELD/HOS audits, inspections, and reporting
• Investigate and manage safety violations, roadside inspections, and driver incidents Organize safety training for drivers and staff
• Ensure proper documentation and timely renewals (licenses, med cards, MVRs, permits, etc.) Coordinate with other departments on cross-functional safety matters
• Communicate with law enforcement, DOT officers, and auditors Continuously review and upgrade safety procedures and standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in safety management in the trucking/logistics industry Excellent understanding of DOT/FMCSA rules and safety standards Strong communication and organizational skills
• (English: Upper-Intermediate or highe, Ukrainian: Native)
• Attention to detail and ability to manage crisis situations calmly
• Confident working with drivers and conducting professional conversations when resolving issues
