Вакансия "Data Engineer Team Lead" - Варшава

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Data Engineer to lead our team with a strong technical background and the ability to empower their team to achieve their goals and support their needs. Your team will be responsible for building, maintaining and designing our data and data pipeline architecture and infrastructure as well as developing key data features. Your customers will be all data consumers in the company, from Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics and DWH teams to internal business and finance teams. The ideal candidate is a data enthusiast who enjoys building data systems from the ground up and maintaining their integrity. You will be the go-to person for anything and everything regarding understanding data, exploration, pipelines, analytics and the connection between business and data.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading a strong and technical team of 3-4 engineers
• Recruiting and mentoring new engineers, empower their grow and reach their potential
• Be a part of decisions and design of building scalable data lake, data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
• Ongoing syncs with other team leaders and data consumers
• Performing POCs on new tools and new services in cloud environment.
• Make decisions, regarding new tools and data strategies

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related disciplines.
• Strong technical background in data.
• 3+ years of leadership experience working in the field of data engineering
• 2+ years of experience in custom ETL/ELT design, implementation and maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in live data streaming (Kafka, PubSub, Kinesis, etc.)
• Experience working with Python
• Advanced knowledge in SQL scripting
• Experience working with SQL (MySQL, Postgres, BigQuery, etc.) and NoSQL (BigTable, Redis, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Knowledge in data visualization tools (Tableua, Looker, etc.)

Advantage:

• Experience in design, development and implementation of Data Warehouse
• Experience with Airflow
• Experience with GCP products (BigQuery, GCS, BigTable)
• Experience with streaming components (Pub/Sub, Kafka, Dataflow)
• Knowledge in data visualization tools (Tableua, Looker, etc.) – not a must.
